Holiday's over. It's time to blog again!
'Colors' is a familiar theme. Besides singing the colors songs, I spiced the lesson up with two games.
I found this Twister Game (see photo below) from my home's games shelf, and used it. The students know the rules and it is a perfect combination of physical and mental training. Each student should name the color they whirled on the spinner. With much repetition, I guess the name of the colors are imprinted in their minds.
However, it colors are limited to only four. So I DIY-ed another board game (see photo below), with all the colors I taught them. It is similar to the snake and ladder game, but with a twist. When they land on a circle with a star, they are rewarded with a smarties (they need to name the color of the Smarties). If they land on a dynamite, they need to return the Smarties (for delayed gratification training =D ).
Each time they land on a circle, the need to name the color, of course, in Chinese. At the same time, students can revise the Chinese numbers with rolling the die.
