English for Kids : The Greedy Python by Eric Carle

We are continuing our Eric Carle's series in our English for Kids group in Wettingen. The main character this week is "The Greedy Python" with an astonishing appetite.

As usual, we begin with our welcome song and a new song called "Baby Shark" by Pinkfong. Kids will go crazy over this song, I promise.

After reading "The Greedy Python", we immediately do a storybook characters recap by using my DIY game board. It is a python with an empty belly. Children will paste the animals on it, name it and chat about it.

We made a paper plate python during craft time. Using paints, paper plate and just a rubber band, we make a wriggly snake.

Food craft time is the most interesting time of all. We made a porcupine with salt sticks and madeleines.

For the last game, "Where is my tail?" , children take turns looking for tails of animals eaten by the Python. Again, this is designed to reinforce their memory of the book's content.

Class dismissed after worksheet time! =D
